AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Freaking out!

I think I found the dress. Ok, more than I think. I'm 90% sure I found the dress!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't think I'd find it so quickly. I went 1 place with Beth on a whim. I tried on about 10 dresses and this was the one! Fiance doesn't read this blog so I'm not too worried about posting it. The one for me is ivory and of course much larger than the beautiful one on the model. But I am kind of short and round so that's to be expected. The killer part is that I have to decide by tomorrow. I have it on hold. It's a discontinued model so I'd get an AMAZING deal on it.... LIKE 50% off amazing deal!

My big decision is: Do I leap on it, or do I keep looking?

  1. do it! i only went to one bridal shop and the dress i ended up buying was the 2nd or 3rd one i tried on. i kind of knew it right away, even though i kept trying on other dresses. i'd do it!

  2. the problem developed when we started talking alterations.... it would have been $300 minimum to get the dress to fit my frame right. In the end, I just couldn't justify spending over 1000 on a dress. And having it on again brought to light some things I wasn't as keen on that slipped by on Thursday.

  3. oy! yeah, don't blame you then! don't worry, the dress is out there! i spent less than $1000 on my dress. my sister's dress was less than $500- i don't know what the total cost was with alterations, but the actual dress price was under $500 (which to me, knowing how my sister always planned on have a dress that was several thousands, was AMAZING).

  4. I did find out a valuable piece of information: if I order a dress hollow hem, they automatically jack the price up and average of 150$. Did you come across that in your dress search, Lauren? So I realized that to get a dress in my budget, I absolutely can't look at a dress priced over $600. I don't feel horribly limited, but it still sucks and changes my perspectives on the prices of dress I can look at.
